Understanding the training needs for Small and Medium Businesses

EMiTT has been working with small businesses for many years and from this has the unique understanding of what your employees and IT coordinators would benefit from when it comes to training. We understand that someone working on spreadsheets doesn’t need to undertake complex courses—they want information which will make their jobs easier and in turn be more productive.

Similarly to this we know that your IT coordinators and contacts need to have basic IT knowledge to allow them to work through problems with your IT support companies. Bearing all of this in mind, a roadmap has also been created to help train your coordinators to understand faults and fixes better—meaning less downtime for you and your organisation.

Training for employees

From our experience working with small and medium businesses we know that your staff primarily use Windows and Microsoft Office. EMiTT offer a number courses suited to improving their skills relating to these.

Many small businesses have one primary point of contact who liaise with your IT support company—however we know that this role can be difficult. From our research and experience we have identified that by improving your coordinators IT knowledge you are also able to decrease your downtime which in turn increases efficiency.

The more your coordinator knows about IT, the easier it is for them to help diagnose and resolve issues with your systems.
