Welcome to the East Midlands IT Training (EMiTT) web site. EMiTT training room


When you are choosing a training partner there are many different things that you will consider. Before we started our technical training college we used a myriad of other training companies around the UK to fulil our own and our customer's needs and expectations. It is this first hand experience that led us to start EMiTT in the first place. We have distilled what we liked and what we found to be effective into our offerings to you.


Technical Ability

The F1 group are one of the most technically qualified Microsoft companies in Europe. Our trainers at EMiTT are involved in all aspects of the F1 Groups business. This business structure covers bespoke software development, website design, support, implementation, outsourcing, accounting software and consultancy which gives our trainers a good understanding of the business processes within a company and where IT technology fits.

We are also an early adopter of all the technology we train on. This means that we have used and often abused the technology so that we can provide a greater insight into the training requiresments of our students.


Experience

Although our trainers are fully Microsoft certified, it is their experience that embellishes the courses and gives a greater insight into what the student learns. Our trainers are not performing a training duty full time, they are IT technicians first and trainers second. This means that for a large part of their working life they are senior level consultants/technicians themselves who are actually doing the job and using the skills in real life situations. This gives them a greater insight and allows them to impart useful real life anecdotes whilst training.


Facilities EMiTT Training Suite

We have dedicated state of the art facilities. They are not used for anything else other than our technical training courses. We can only teach a maximum of eight people at one sitting, this is a Microsoft stipulation to make sure the ratio of tutor to student is set correctly.

Our training suite was built from the ground up in 2009 to take advantage of the best resources available including dual use desking. They are obviously air-conditioned and light and airy.


Testing

We have a dedicated test facility in the room next to our training facility. We are approved by all three of the major international testing bodies, Prometric, Pearson Vue and Certiport. We provide the complete range of examinations not just the ones that we teach. The student can get trained and tested at the same time saving ime and money. You are welcome to use these facilities for examinations to courses not taken at EMiTT.
